TEACHER PROGRAMS
Whether your goal in life is to work with animals or you simply love to learn more about the amazing creatures with whom we share this world, Denver Zoo has a program just for you.

Teachers & Group Leaders: We have programs for your students, too.  Click here to learn more.

Career Programs

Denver Zoo offers a variety of programs for teens and pre-teens interested in exploring animal-related careers.  Half-day career events and full-day workshops are just two of the many options available each year.

Science Programs

Have you always wanted to take your fascination for animals and science to the next level?  Join other teens in investigating and exploring the worlds of biology, zoology and ethology right here at the zoo. Let your love of science go WILD!

Teen Volunteer Program

What better way to learn what it might be like to work at a zoo than to start volunteering as a teenager?  To apply, you must be at least 13 years old and able to commit to at least 25 hours of service in each of the summer months (June, July and August).  While there is no direct contact with animals in the first summer, the program is designed to offer increased responsibility and opportunity the longer you stay in the program.
